PATRIK DANIEL SURGES TO VICTORY AT SABINE SPEEDWAY

Many, LA (May 16, 2026) —Wills Point, Texas driver Patrik Daniel used a dominating performance at Sabine Speedway in Many, Louisiana Saturday night, leading all 25 laps of the Southwest Steel Buildings Southern States Modified Series presented by Schultz Fueling Technologies A-Main season opening victory and the $1200 prize that came with it. Starting from the front row outside, Daniel wasted no time taking command and never looked back, By doing so, he now finds himself sitting atop the Day Motorsports point standings with his early season lead.

Hot on his heels all race long was fellow Texan driver Dennie Gieber . Gieber worked multiple lines around the track in an effort to track down the leader, but despite several strong runs, he was unable to complete the pass and settled for a hard-earned second-place finish.

2023 points champion Tommy Rascoe currently finds himself in third place in the point standings after a strong third place finish.

Richard Holt added another strong performance to his resume with a fourth-place finish, while David Forbis rounded out the top five after an impressive night that included capturing the Shed Road Auto Parts Hard Charger award advancing 6 spots to finish 5th.

As the 2026 SSMS tour schedule hits full force, the series heads to 105 Speedway this Saturday May 23rd for Day Motorsports Round 4.
