Anthony Meek wins his third feature of the season in race 9 of the Day Motorsports points series at 105 Speedway.

CLEVELAND, TX- Anthony Meek made a decisive move early in Saturday night’s Southern States Modified Series feature at 105 Speedway, taking the lead on lap 3 and never looking back. After starting third, Meek capitalized when Schultz Fueling Technologies pole sitter Patrik Daniel of Wills Point, TX encountered fuel pump issues, forcing the series points leader to retire early. Meek held strong up front while the rest of the field battled behind him.

Outside pole sitter Tommy Rascoe delivered a solid performance to finish second, fending off pressure throughout the race. The Shed Road Auto Parts Hard Charger Award went to Beau Begnaud of Spring, TX, who made an impressive debut in a northeast modified by driving from ninth to finish third. John Sliney crossed the line in fourth, with Thomas Holt rounding out the top five.

The modifieds head to the birthplace of the series at Super Bee Speedway on Saturday September 6th for Day Motorsports Race No. 10.
