A showdown in Cleveland, Texas is up next for the Southwest Steel Buildings Southern States Modified Series Presented By Schultz Fueling Technologies as the road to the Day Motorsports points championship continues.

Coming into the weekend Tommy Rascoe holds a slim 24 point advantage over Corey Oltz in the Day Motorsports Championship chase. Keith Meek sits 2 points behind Oltz in third setting the stage for another exciting chapter in the season long battle for the title. Every lap and position will be critical as drivers look to gain valuable points heading to the end of the season with only two races left.

Patrik Daniel moves up to 4th with a series win last month at 105 Speedway 35 points ahead of Dennie Gieber. That momentum carries to the track where Daniel has been the most successful of the series winning on eleven occasions in 2024, 2025 and 2026. A win by the Wills Point, Texas driver could be his 12th series win at this track and his 20th career SSMS series win and the $1,200 winner’s paycheck.
