Patrik Daniel Holds Off Tommy Rascoe For 105 Speedway Victory
CLEVELAND, TX – Patrik Daniel led every lap from the drop of the green on Saturday night at 105 Speedway to capture the Southwest Steel Buildings Southern States Modified Series presented by Schultz Fueling Technologies feature victory.
Daniel was in command throughout the event, holding off 2023 series champion Tommy Rascoe for the win. Corey Oltz crossed the line in third. Keith Meek finished fourth, while Dennie Gieber completed the top five.
With nine rounds now in the books, the championship battle is tightening. Rascoe continues to lead the standings as he looks to add another series title to his résumé, but Oltz sits just 20 points back, setting the stage for an exciting stretch run.
The series now turns its attention to the 3rd Annual Morrow Renewables Family Night Out at Hunt County Raceway on August 7 for Day Motorsports Round 10, where the championship contenders will once again battle for valuable points in what promises to be another thrilling night of Southern States Modified Series action.
